Rianne van Duin is paper adventurer and professional tinkerer. She invents and creates interactive 2D and 3D paper worlds. For children and with children.
Her work varies from illustrated pop-up books to life size foldable theater sets, from children’s newspapers to paper animations. Interaction is central to Riannes creations: they stimulate the imagination and invite you to play, manipulate and experience them.
Rianne works for publishers, theater productions, museums and festivals, independently or in collaboration with (the work of) illustrators or artists such as Fiep Westendorp and Leo Timmers.
Rianne van Duin is papier avonturier en professioneel knutselaar. Ze bedenkt en creëert interactieve 2D en 3D werelden van papier. Voor kinderen en met kinderen.
Haar werk varieert van geïllustreerde pop-up boeken tot levensgrote opvouwbare theaterdecors, van kinderkrant tot papieranimatie. Interactie is een centraal thema is Riannes creaties: ze stimuleren verbeelding en nodigen uit om ze te spelen, manipuleren en beleven.
Rianne werkt voor uitgevers, theaterproducties, musea en festivals, zelfstandig of in samenspel met (het werk van) illustratoren of kunstenaars zoals Fiep Westendorp en Leo Timmers.
