As a glass artist, I blend color, texture, and light through lampworking and beadmaking. I create beads, from subtle to bold, by layering molten glass with gold leaf or silver fuming, combining technical skill with creative expression.
In the past five years, I've merged painting with lampwork, transforming beads into “glass paintings” that evoke landscapes and emotions. Inspired by Vincent van Gogh, particularly his landscapes of Provence, I use texture, color, and perspective to create wearable landscapes that connect the wearer to nature and creativity.
My approach mimics impasto painting, giving my beads energy and texture that feel alive. Each piece becomes a meditation, a “prayer bead” or “inspiration bead,” reflecting the spirit of the landscape. Blending ancient glassmaking traditions with modern vision, I create timeless pieces that capture nature’s beauty. I work from my studio at M6 in NDSM Loods, Amsterdam, where my passion for art continues to evolve.
