Nanny Kok

Nanny Kok draws, paints and illustrates. Her work is intuitive and colourful. She prefers to work on paper with a mix of pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolour, felt-tip pen and oil paint.
Although local residents, dogs, rats and science fiction are her favourite subjects, she has a background in fashion design (Gerrit Rietveld Academy) and philosophy (University of Amsterdam), which still influences the themes in her work.
Nanny Kok tekent, schildert en illustreert. Haar werk is intuïtief en kleurrijk. Het liefst werkt ze op papier met een mix van potlood, houtskool, inkt, aquarelverf, viltstift en olieverf.
Hoewel buurtbewoners, honden, ratten en sciencefiction haar favoriete onderwerpen zijn, heeft ze een achtergrond in modeontwerp (Gerrit Rietveld Academie) en filosofie (Universiteit van Amsterdam) en dit is nog steeds van invloed op de thema's in haar werk.
