Kims Kind Creations - Amerens Hedwich
Amerens Hedwich, 1969, werkt sinds 2013 in de Kunststad.
In 1996 studeerde ik af als analoog fotograaf en ben gaan reizen. Vrijheid voelend. Digitale fotografie betekent veel uren achter de computer en ik miste het werken met mijn handen. Covid veranderde mijn situatie in positieve zin.
Ik schreef een boek voor en over mijn overleden moeder, een kunstenaar, ben gaan knippen en plakken, tekenen, naaien, borduren…
Gaan werken met mijn handen, weg bij de computer. Daarnaast heeft rouw mij veel inspiratie gegeven. Rouw kun je niet meten maar wel vertalen. Mijn rouw is omgezet in een sieraad, voorstellingen en een installatie. Het liefst maak ik vogels van papier.
En sinds vorig jaar september zit ik in een groot atelier dat me veel mogelijkheden biedt, waaronder workshops. Ik werk onder de naam Kims Kind Creations en mijn motto is 'Nothing new but the glue'. Ook al lukt dat niet altijd, ik probeer het wel.

In 1996 I graduated as an analog photographer and started travelling. Sensed freedom. Digital photography means spending a lot of hours behind the computer and I missed working with my hands. Covid changed everything for the better.
I wrote a book for and about my deceased mother, an artist, started cutting and pasting, drawing, sewing, embroidery…
Started working with my hands, away from the computer. In addition grief gave me a lot of inspiration. There is no way to measuere grief but it can be translated. My grief converted into a piece of jewelry, a play and installation.
Most of all I love to make paper birds. And since September last year I rent a big space which offers a lot of possibilities, inclusief workshops. I work under the name of Kims kind creations and my motto is 'Nothing new but the glue'. Even though that does not always work, I do try.
